Shriya Saran is one of the reigning queen of South Indian cinema, her face turning bright innocence with remarkable ease. Language no barrier for this actress when she takes on roles in Telugu Tamil Hindi and English movies. Shriya was born on 11th Born September 1982 in Dehradun. Her mother Neeraja, a teacher and her father Pushpendra Saran working in Bharat Heavy Metal Works. Has an older brother Abhiroop and she grew up in Ranipur. She studied at Delhi Public School and received a degree in literature from Lady Sri Ram College. It is also a Kathak dancer and trained by Shobha Narayan. She began as a model and appeared in several commercials as Brook Bond Red Label, Lux and Head & Shoulders. She was also a part of the music video as Tirakthi Kyun Hawa by Reenu Nathan shot in Benares.

Shriya broke into movies with Telugu film Ishtam 2,001th Although the film was not a success,but she recognized by industry. Followed by the 2002 film Santosham with Nagarjuna did very well. The other two films in the same year Nuvve Nuvve and Chennakeshava Reddy is also good.She used the opportunity to work with some of the big stars and come with a few hits like Tagore (2003) and the Chatrapati (2005).
Tamil films like Ennaku 20 Unnaku 18 in 2003, Mazhai 2005, also at the box office. In 2007 she starred in Azhagiya Tamil Magan and she was cast opposite Rajnikanth in ShivajiThe Boss, one of the greatest films of all time in india bollywood made even seen a Shriya with Tujhe Meri Kasam (2003), Thoda Hum Badlo Thoda Tum (2004) , Awaarapan (2007) and Mission Istanbul (2008).
Challenge
In January 2008, a Hindu organization in Chennai a lodged police complaint against Saran whose wore outfit dress, during the 175 Day of the celebration of her film, Sivaji. In a complaint, the Hindu Makkal Katchi (HMK) that Shriya had Outfit "'offended Hindu culture”.The complaint was formally accepted by the police and is under investigation. Shriya is the fourth actor, after Kushboo, Shilpa Shetty and Reema Sen fire of political parties and organizations to deal with time. Shriya offered an unconditional apology for “wearing inappropriate skimpy attire”.
